EDITOR

You've written a novel, but you're a little uncertain of your grammar skills. Before you send it off to a publisher, you want it to be in the best shape possible. Why not put your mind at ease and have your manuscript edited by a professional?

I hold a B.A. in English with a Creative Writing major. I've been editing for eight years, and presently edit for three electronic publishers as well as for individuals. I'm a staff writer and class instructor for NovelAdvice, an instructor for Word Museum, an instructor for Writers Online Workshops, a newspaper columnist, and have taught creative writing at the community college level. My first novel, Fatal Fortune, was released in September 1998 by Petals of Life Publishing. My second novel, Since All is Passing, was released in October 1999 from Avid Press. My third novel, Lady of the Two Lands, is due out from NovelBooks, Inc. in April, 2003. My short story anthology, Mirror Images, was released in March 2001 from DiskUs Publishing, and another short story anthology, Penumbra was released in October 2002 from DiskUs Publishing.

Manuscripts can be submitted via text in e-mail, as an attachment (Rich Text Format, WordPerfect, HTML, or Word), or snail mail, and are copyedited for grammar, spelling, punctuation and usage. The fee is $3.50/1000 words. Turnaround time is rapid and tailored to suit the client's needs. In-depth critiques are also available along with copyediting at $7/1000 words. I offer first-time users a free 1000 word critique.

Galen Kindley, novelist, Hearts of the Morning Calm : "If you're like me, you have three concerns in finding an editor: honesty, professional competence, and price. You need look no further. Ms. Elizabeth Delisi is an editor who embodies honesty, is the personification of competence, and has done those of us in need of her services the favor of combining these attributes with a more than fair price.

"Liz edited what I thought was a 'clean' manuscript and found at least two errors on every one of nearly 500 pages. She communicated areas for manuscript improvement constructively and in a palatable manner. She kept me posted on her progress and was e-mail accessible, answering questions promptly and clearly.  Liz has my highest recommendation. So, do yourself a favor, stop looking; this is the place, Elizabeth Delisi is THE editor. You can't do better."
